Emergency Food Network distributes more than 15 million pounds of healthy, nutritious food annually to 67 food banks, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County. Through relationships with Northwest Harvest, farms in in Oregon and Eastern Washington provide trailers full of potatoes, onions, apples, etc. 2-3 times each week, charging EFN only for the delivery costs.
This blog allows us to post when there's a load available, and allows generous truckers and trucking companies like you to offer to backhaul the load for us as a donation to EFN. If different companies help out on each load, it can save us over $100,000 every year!
How it Works
Our Transportation Manager will post opportunities for hauling for EFN. The details will be in the body of the Blog. Open Haul's will be listed in the Title. If you are interested please comment on post with:
Our Transportation Manager will contact you directly directly via Email or Phone for details.
Once a Haul has been selected the Title and the Comment will be added as -Fulfilled.
